SCHOOLS & EDUCATION
Ongoing IT support and security for primary and secondary schools in Meath and North East Leinster. We look after staff and pupil devices, Microsoft 365 accounts and admin systems, so IT doesn’t fall on the principal or school office. We support 10+ schools from Hurdlestown, Co. Meath.
In many schools, IT falls to the principal, the school secretary or a teacher with a few free periods, on top of their own work.
Staff laptops, pupil devices, classroom displays and printers all need updates and repairs, and one faulty device can hold up a lesson.
Teachers, SNAs and substitutes come and go during the year. Old accounts and shared passwords leave pupil and staff data exposed.
The office handles payments, parent contact and supplier invoices, making it a target for fake invoices and emails that appear to come from the principal.
Accounts for staff and pupils with the right permissions, multi-factor sign-in for staff, and access removed promptly when someone leaves.
On Gold: email security, phishing awareness training for office and teaching staff, leaked-password alerts and a business password manager.
Monitoring, patching, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response on the laptops, desktops and other devices we manage, plus help planning replacements.
Microsoft 365 backup covers email, OneDrive and SharePoint. It doesn’t automatically cover files on a school server or office PC, so we scope device and server backup in your proposal.
We look after the PCs, network and accounts your school administration software relies on, and work with software vendors and classroom technology suppliers when something needs their input.
Reliable Wi-Fi across classrooms and offices, a separate guest network, and web filtering suited to your pupils’ ages, working alongside the filtering in your school broadband service.
Schools hold sensitive personal data about pupils, parents and staff. The National Cyber Security Centre’s quick guide for schools highlights phishing, ransomware and data theft, and recommends measures such as multi-factor authentication, regular backups, up-to-date software and cyber security awareness training for staff and pupils. The Data Protection Commission’s Data Protection Toolkit for Schools explains schools’ obligations as data controllers, including having a contract in place with any service provider that processes personal data on the school’s behalf.
If a breach affects personal data, GDPR generally requires the school to notify the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours, unless it’s unlikely to result in a risk to the people concerned. Your board of management and professional advisers can confirm what applies to your school. On the IT side, we provide:
We’re an IT support company, not a legal or compliance adviser, and we don’t give legal or regulatory advice.

You can mix the two, with Gold for most staff and Silver for lighter users. Microsoft 365 licences are charged separately and are not included in either package.
Based in Hurdlestown, Co. Meath, our team combines everyday IT support, ongoing security reviews and practical planning. You’ll know who looks after your systems and who to contact when you need help.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. After-hours emergency support is available at an extra cost, via a dedicated mobile number and email.
Included in Gold and separate from the helpdesk: our security monitoring partner watches for threats around the clock.
We learn how your school runs, who looks after IT today, which devices are in use and where pupil and staff records are stored.
We look at accounts and passwords, devices, Wi-Fi and filtering, phishing risks and what your backups actually cover, and agree priorities with you.
You get a written proposal: the improvements we recommend, the right package for each person, and any setup work quoted upfront.
As staff, pupil numbers and technology change, we review your security and plan device replacements and new setups with you.
No. Microsoft 365 licences are charged separately. Gold includes Microsoft 365 admin and support, so we can manage your licences and setup for you.
Our packages are priced per user. For a school, we agree which staff need which package, how pupil accounts and devices are handled, and how many devices we’ll look after. All of this is set out in your written proposal before anything starts.
Usually the principal, deputy principal, school secretary or the teacher who coordinates digital learning. They contact our helpdesk, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, and we take it from there.
Their account is disabled and their access removed, and their files and email can be passed to a colleague where needed. One clear process for joiners and leavers, including substitutes, keeps pupil data out of old accounts.
Not automatically. Microsoft 365 backup covers email, OneDrive and SharePoint. Files on a school server or office PCs need device or server backup, which we scope in your proposal. We test restores every two weeks, and you can request the records.
Treat any email asking for a payment, new bank details or a login with care, even if it appears to come from the principal or a known supplier, and confirm by phone using a number you already hold. The National Cyber Security Centre recommends regular awareness training for staff. Gold adds email security, phishing awareness training and leaked-password alerts.
