CYBERSECURITY

Cybersecurity for businesses and schools in Meath

Practical, layered protection against phishing, ransomware and stolen passwords, covering devices, email, accounts and staff. Silver protects every managed device. Gold adds email security, 24/7 security monitoring and staff training.

The threats we help protect against

Phishing and fake invoices

Convincing emails trick staff into entering passwords, opening harmful attachments or paying invoices that look genuine.

Ransomware

Malicious software can lock files and shared folders, stopping work until systems are cleaned and data is restored.

Stolen and reused passwords

Passwords leaked from other websites are tried against business accounts, especially where staff reuse the same password.

Threats outside office hours

Attacks don’t keep office hours. One that starts at night or at the weekend can go unnoticed until the next working day.

What’s included

Device protection

Antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR) and ransomware protection on every managed device, on both Silver and Gold.

Email security

On Gold: advanced filtering that screens incoming email for spam, phishing and harmful links or attachments.

24/7 security monitoring

On Gold: our security operations centre watches managed devices around the clock. Out of hours, it handles any threats it detects and notifies us.

Application control

On Gold: only approved software can run on managed devices, which helps stop unknown programs and ransomware from starting.

Phishing simulation and training

On Gold: phishing email campaigns run in two-month cycles, with short security awareness training to help staff recognise suspicious messages.

Passwords and account security

On Gold: account security, a business password manager, and alerts if staff email addresses and passwords appear in leaked data.

How we approach your security

1. Review your current protection

We check devices, email, accounts and backups, and how staff sign in, and identify the gaps that matter most.

2. Agree priorities

We recommend Silver or Gold for each user and set out any setup work in a written proposal.

3. Put protection in place

We roll out device protection and, on Gold, email security, account and password tools, and phishing simulations.

4. Monitor and review

Monitoring and patching continue in the background, and we review your security with you as threats and your organisation change.

Which package includes which protection

Both packages protect every managed device. Gold adds protection for email, accounts and staff.

Silver

  • Antivirus, EDR and ransomware protection
  • Monitoring and operating system patching
  • Microsoft 365 backup of email, OneDrive and SharePoint

Gold: everything in Silver, plus

  • Email security with advanced spam and threat filtering
  • 24/7 security monitoring by our security operations centre
  • Application control
  • Phishing email campaigns run in two-month cycles, plus security awareness training
  • Leaked-password (dark web) monitoring
  • Account security and a business password manager
  • Unlimited on-site call-outs as needed

Silver doesn’t include email security. No security tool can stop every attack, so we combine protection with monitoring, tested backups and staff awareness.

Cybersecurity: your questions answered

No. Email security and advanced spam and threat filtering are part of Gold. Silver covers device protection: antivirus, EDR and ransomware protection.

Endpoint detection and response looks for suspicious behaviour on a device, not just known viruses, so activity that looks like an attack can be spotted and contained.

It looks for your organisation’s email addresses and passwords in data leaked online, for example after a breach of another website, so the people affected can change their passwords.

On Gold, phishing email campaigns run in two-month cycles, alongside short security awareness training.

On Gold, our security operations centre handles threats it detects out of hours and notifies us, so we can follow up with you. This is separate from our helpdesk hours.

No provider can. Our aim is to reduce the risk with several layers of protection, and to limit the impact with monitoring and backups that are tested every two weeks.

Contact our helpdesk straight away during office hours, or use the after-hours emergency contact details we give clients (after-hours support is charged extra). Don’t make any payment or change bank details until the request has been checked.

Yes. For example, Gold for staff who handle email, payments and sensitive data, and Silver for lighter users.
