BACKUP & DISASTER RECOVERY
A backup is only useful if you can restore from it. We back up Microsoft 365 on both packages, back up servers as part of business continuity and disaster recovery, and test restores every two weeks, with records available on request.
A file deleted by mistake or saved over can take hours to recreate, if it can be recreated at all.
Ransomware can lock files, shared folders and connected drives, so a separate, protected copy of your data matters.
A failed server disk, a stolen laptop or water damage in the office can take systems and data with it.
A backup can report success for months without anyone trying a restore, until the day it’s needed.
On Silver and Gold: email, OneDrive and SharePoint backed up separately from Microsoft’s own service.
Servers backed up as part of business continuity and disaster recovery, scoped in your proposal to suit how much data you hold and how quickly you need it back.
Backup for laptops and PCs where important data is stored locally, also scoped in your proposal.
We test restores every two weeks to check that backups can be recovered, and keep records you can request.
When a file, mailbox or system needs to be recovered, contact our helpdesk and we’ll restore it from backup.
We monitor backups and follow up any that fail, so gaps are dealt with rather than left unnoticed.
We map where data is held: Microsoft 365, servers, laptops and any other systems you rely on.
We agree what to back up, how often and how quickly each system needs to be back, and quote it in a written proposal.
We set up the agreed backups, monitor them and follow up any backup that fails.
We test restores every two weeks and keep records you can request, so you know the backups work.
Microsoft 365 backup is included in both packages. Other backup is scoped to your organisation.
No backup can promise that every file will always be recoverable, which is why we test restores and keep the records.

You can mix the two, with Gold for most staff and Silver for lighter users. Microsoft 365 licences are charged separately and are not included in either package.
Based in Hurdlestown, Co. Meath, our team combines everyday IT support, ongoing security reviews and practical planning. You’ll know who looks after your systems and who to contact when you need help.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. After-hours emergency support is available at an extra cost, via a dedicated mobile number and email.
Included in Gold and separate from the helpdesk: our security operations centre watches for threats around the clock, handles any it detects out of hours and notifies us.
Microsoft keeps the service available, but its built-in retention is limited. A separate backup gives you another copy of email, OneDrive and SharePoint that can be restored if data is deleted, overwritten or encrypted.
No. Server backup is part of business continuity and disaster recovery and, like device backup, is scoped in your proposal, because the amount of data and how quickly you need systems back vary between organisations.
Every two weeks. Records are available on request, which can help when you’re asked how your data is protected.
Failed backups are monitored and followed up by our team, so a problem is dealt with rather than left unnoticed.
Backup means having a separate copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the plan and process for getting systems and people working again after a serious incident, such as ransomware, a fire or a major hardware failure.
When we retire devices, their hard drives are removed, wiped and then physically destroyed, so old data isn’t left lying around.
It depends on what’s being restored and how much data is involved. We agree realistic expectations with you in your proposal.
Protecting client records and year-end files.
Backing up practice data held on local servers and PCs.
Keeping large drawings and project archives recoverable.
Tell us where your data is held and what you’d need back first after an incident. We’ll recommend a backup approach and show you how it’s tested.
