WI-FI & NETWORKING

Network problems we help solve

Wi-Fi black spots

Meeting rooms, upstairs offices or classrooms where the signal drops, so people move around looking for a connection.

Guests on the business network

Visitors and personal devices share the same network as business PCs, printers and files.

Home equipment stretched too far

The router from the broadband provider and a few add-on extenders end up running a whole office.

Nobody knows how it’s set up

Settings, passwords and cabling aren’t documented, so every change or fault takes longer than it should.

What’s included in a network project

Wi-Fi supplied and installed

We supply business-grade access points and install them to cover the areas you use.

Separate guest Wi-Fi

We set up guest Wi-Fi kept apart from business devices, with its own password that can be changed without affecting staff.

Firewall and secure remote access

We set up a business firewall, and secure remote access for staff who need to reach office systems from home.

Cabling by our own team

Network cabling and switches installed in-house, planned and labelled so the network is easy to trace, support and extend.

Network monitoring

Included in Silver and Gold: we monitor your network, so problems can be picked up and followed up quickly.

Documentation

A record of your network equipment and settings, so changes and faults can be dealt with quickly.

How a network project works

1. Site visit

We walk through your building, look at how the space is used, and check your current equipment and broadband.

2. Written proposal

You get a written proposal with the recommended equipment, installation work and costs.

3. Installation

Our own team installs the equipment and cabling, planning the switch-over to keep disruption to a minimum.

4. Monitoring and support

We monitor your network, issues can be raised with our helpdesk, and we review the setup as your needs change.

How Wi-Fi and networking fits with our packages

Network equipment, cabling and installation are quoted in your proposal. Network monitoring is included in both packages, along with support for the people and devices that use the network:

Wi-Fi and networking: your questions answered

No. Equipment, cabling and installation are quoted separately in your proposal. Network monitoring is included in both packages, along with support and security for the people and devices that use your network.

It keeps visitors’ phones and laptops apart from your business PCs, printers and files, so a guest device can’t easily reach them.

Yes. We set up secure remote access, so staff can reach office systems from home without exposing them directly to the internet.

Often, yes. Well-placed business access points usually make more difference than extra extenders. Where new cabling is needed, we’ll explain why in the proposal.

Yes. Our own team supplies the equipment, runs the cabling and installs everything, so one team is responsible for the whole network.

If the fault is with your broadband line, your provider needs to fix it. We can help work out whether the problem is your equipment or the line, and discuss a backup connection if you need one.
